The switch-on was performed on Saturday by the Mayor of Bourne, Councillor David Higgs, and again attracted a large crowd. The ceremony outside the Town Hall was followed by the usual late night shopping event with stalls and street entertainment in North Street which was closed to traffic for the evening. In the picture are the mayor and mayoress with Father Christmas and the event organiser Gordon Cochran in Dickensian dress.
