The Bourne Chronicle

A GLIMPSE OF THE TOWN'S HISTORY RECORDED
IN DATES AND EVENTS, PEOPLE AND PLACES

Written and researched by
 REX NEEDLE

THIS IS the most comprehensive record of dates relating to the history of Bourne ever compiled. It has been written and researched by local historian Rex Needle and contains a glimpse of the town from the earliest times to the present day through events, people and places.

The 56-page book also includes almost 100 photographs, both old and contemporary, pen portraits of leading personalities and descriptions of important buildings together with a roll call of all council chairmen and mayors of Bourne from 1894 to 2005.

The book has been printed locally by Warners Digital Print and has been generously sponsored by Councillor Don Fisher, who was Mayor of Bourne from 1983-84 and again 1998-99. It costs £5 and all proceeds go to the Bourne Civic Society which runs the Heritage Centre.

Copies are obtainable from Bourne Civic Society, Baldock's Mill, 21 South Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire PE10 9LY, England.
