THE BUTTERFIELD CENTRE is a registered charity managed
by a board of trustees in premises leased from Lincolnshire County
Council. It is a "not for profit" organisation.
Established in 1986, its aim is to provide a range of day care and
outreach services for the elderly and vulnerable people of Bourne and
district to enable clients to live independently in their own homes for as
long as possible. The services provided include day care, meals on wheels
and domestic cleaning. All three services are under the supervision of the
centre manager who is a registered nurse. All employees and volunteers are
subjected to a CRB* check in order that the clients and their families can
have confidence in the service.
All clients for the day care or domestic service are assessed by the
centre manager to determine their health care needs to ensure that they
can be cared for safely. Clients with mild dementia or learning
difficulties are accepted. Clients may
be referred by either:

the staff will escort clients to health or dental appointments if
necessary.

of the environmental health constraints regarding food temperature and
